The African Future Foundation is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and not-for-profit organization. With the primary aim of continuing the very laudable developmental objectives of the various programs, the alumni of these programs have organized this Foundation to meet these specific needs and objectives.
- Provide a platform for members to exchange views, ideas and experiences as well as proffer solutions to developmental challenges of Nigeria, in particular, and other African countries in general;
- Promote activities that will enhance the interests of members;
- To maintain and sustain a high level of integrity, transparency and accountability in all the activities of the Foundation.
- Encourage and assist African Alumni and other graduates resident abroad to be interested in Africa and assist those who wish to return home;
- Advocate and support education and training activities that address issues relevant to Nigeria’s development;
- Provide opportunities, including the award of scholarships, for the educational advancement of Nigerians;
- Provide opportunities for African researchers, foreign scholars and students to visit Nigeria;
- Serve as an information center for identifying and facilitating professional partnerships and joint ventures between the United States of America and Nigeria and other African Alumni organizations
- Oversee all activities funded by the Association;
- Raise funds for the activities of the Association;
- Maintain linkages with organizations having similar objectives in Africa and elsewhere; Provide opportunities for exchange of scholars and professionals between Nigerian and foreign institutions
